FlipFact of the Day: Did you know that “one thousand” is the first number that, when spelled out, contains the letter “a”?

Excluding the word “and” (“one hundred and one,” “one hundred and two,” etc.), the letter “a” is absent from the whole numbers 0 (“zero”) to 999 (“nine hundred ninety-nine”).

Seriously, try it. 🤷‍♂️ If you have a thousand (or more) seconds to spare, go ahead.
